SCOPE
In 2011 Ernest Henry Mine transitioned from an open pit to an underground and magnetite processing mine. AULDEC was engaged in installing the Electrical and Instrumentation at the 1325 dewatering system that would remove underground mine water and would be capable of handling emergency inflows.
Underground projects can be timely and inefficient, but Auldec made short work of the installation and fit-out of the underground switchroom then moved on to completing the E&I for the 2 1350kW Geho pumps and the 25t double girder overhead crane. Once all underground scope was complete and operational, Auldec re-emerged to the surface to complete the installation and commissioning of the 33kV RMU and complete the early surface works of the Headframe temporary power.
During this project, Auldec was young as a company but showed their experience and knowledge of management and systems that created the pathway of who they are today.
