The GLNG Santos upstream facility had three failed joint sections on a parallel 4000A 400V resin-encapsulated bus duct system that required installation and repair. To install the new bus duct, six joints and three bus duct sections had to be deconstructed and replaced.
It’s crucial to deconstruct the jointing plates with utmost care as the bus duct.....
The Wheatstone Project “Upstream Scope” included 60t of Busduct and installation and testing of MV/LV Switchgear. This was all completed on the 225m tall offshore facility during its fabrication in South Korea. This platform was then transported to Australia to supply dehydrated gas and dewatered condensate to the onshore facilities at Ashburton.....
